Gay Celebrities in the Closet

Hell, even speaking as a gay man Henry Cavill's not even my type but I'd still let him plow me like a snowy road if he seemed even a little interested.

Henry Cavill isn't gay but I did some sleuthing back in the day and it brought about some very interesting results. This was pre-Superman, maybe even pre-Tudors era tea but I discovered it around that time. I somehow found out about a friend of his on Facebook, this guy would somewhat regularly feature Henry in his photos. People didn't really know who he was then but Henry was (and obviously still is) so striking this guy would put in the captions "He's STRAIGHT so don't get any ideas" because his friends would drop their panties in the comments. This friend of Henry's was obviously gay so I looked him up and he saw had a blog with poetry and photography. Lo and behold, one of the posts was a fresh-faced Henry Cavill beside some poem which leads me to believe he was enamored (wouldn't you be?).

Anyways, it turns out this guy also knew (maybe dated?) Dan Renzi, a contestant from Real World/Road Rules shit who happened to be a columnist/blogger. He had some column in a gay publication I forget where he'd basically report on his own friends' antics a la Carrie Bradshaw. Anyways, I wish, wish, wish I could remember where these columns were published so I could find it again but in one of them he detailed a friend of his who was roommates with an extremely hot British actor. I deduced pretty quickly it was Cavill and this guy I discovered. There were maybe two posts fleetingly mentioning Cavill though not by his name.

BUT what he did say was that this hot, fit young British actor did walk around naked in the apartment in plain view and that his friend saw his "BBC" or "big, British cock" and didn't really mind being seen. So maybe Cavill's not gay but he likes attention...that's something.

oh, my, what a story. such the sleuth.
henry was a host at a cafe on la cienega and holloway dr, in weho, years ago. it was argentinian, though, now it has changed hands. the purported friend was some, rather everyday, dishwater blond actor. many pics were posted of him and henry together, and at gay clubs. read into that what you will

Bisexual men exist, okay? I am one, and it's funny and ridiculous to see you guys just deducing whether he's "straight or gay".
Maybe he's bi, who cares?
I always thought he was bi, and when he came here to Brazil, he frequented a small gay club in Rio de Janeiro, and he seemed super comfortable.

He's been saying it for a while. I think It's a Sin was the first time he put it into practice.
I think all the actors who played gay men in Years & Years were gay, right? It's just that in Years & Years, the whole cast wasn't gay men unlike some of his other projects.

If I had former co-workers talking about our time working together like Charlie Hunam talks about Queer as Folk, I'd be wary too!

Ah yes. Bisexuality through the process of contagion. All it makes is sense. Lol Smh. :joy:
He was at Pride in London wearing a big ole bi pride bracelet. Like if it had been the rainbow I would def. say "This could just as easily be an ally thing" but the bi colors were awfully specific.

I do think bisexual men are oft ignored and there are more of them in the industry and the world than we care to admit. It's why I hate this conversation of "straight men playing gay roles"- I think often queer/bi men play gay characters but they risk having their personal life/sexuality publicly audited. Viggo Mortensen recently shot back at that clickbait, pseudo-controversy by saying "You don't know how straight I am".

Jared Leto also supposedly fucked Alexis Arquette when she was "presenting as male" (her words). She said his penis looked like "the praetorian guard's helmet". Some people said that "helmet" is slang for "cut" but I don't think that's what she meant. She was dying when she revealed it, claimed she wasn't the only one and that another trans woman topped him.

Frank Dillane is said to have dated a man in the past.

I have some other theories, kiki around the subject of bisexual actors....

Yes, i Also hate this "let's forbid straight actors of playing queer roles" movement

Number 1: do people really know If they're really straight ? They could be queer themselves and Just not out or closeted

Number 2: so that means that an openly gay actor can only play queer characters too ?

Number 3: this only contributes to keep actors in the closet in fear of losing their carreers... They might think "so if i come out then only queer roles are going to be offered to me" ?

Number 3: i think People should read on the dictionary the concept of acting or being an actor

I don't mind heteros playing gay roles but there's an imbalance, too many lead gay roles are still going to straight actors, its annoying

Regarding #3 (the first #3), that is already the concern. Actually, the current concern is that they won't be offered any roles once they are out, because straight roles are not offered to out gay actors and gay roles primarily go to straight actors looking for prestige.

The whole "'let's forbid straight actors of playing queer roles' movement," as you say, is partially about authenticity in storytelling but it's also a response to very real employment discrimination that gay actors experience. I don't think it's the right way to do it - what was done to Kit Connor makes that very clear - but it is an attempted response to right a very real wrong.

When you remember famous male artists that were Brave enough and came out ( Matt bomer, wentworth Miller, Zachary quinto, Colton haynes, Luke McFarlane... ) You understand why some big names and the big majority of them stay in the closet, where are these guys right now ? None of them hit It big after they came out and didn't have much opportunity to get big roles, like... I'm 99% shure that Matt bomer wasn't casted as Cristian Grey only because he is gay and wouldn't appeal for straight women

Is lee Pace oficially out ? Were he and Richard armitage really a thing ?
Lee was outed by a dumb reporter a year or so ago. Glass closet unfortunately but its invasive and rude that he was outed like that

then they aren't straight lmao
I think we do need to have space for people to identify as things like (to quote a former boyfriend of mine) "straight but I like to be fucked [by men]", even if that doesn't seem to make much sense. There shouldn't be rules on how you "should" identify based on your behaviour.

John and Hugh maybe. Never understood why people think Tom C, Jake G or Leo D are closeted. Idgi at all. Lol

One already exists I guess, heteroflexible. :joy:but I still think this is just one flavor of the wide bisexual spectrum though. I don't buy the whole "I like gay sex but I am still straight" routine. Just sounds like a desperate attempt to not identify as anything other than hetero since that is socially harmful to lose the "straight card" as a man. Lbr.

Could these unicorns exist? Sure I guess maybe? But I will never be sure while we live in a world still full of closeted guys. Too convenient.

Because people like to speculate that someone who isn't married and he is 40+ is gay. Even though I think that all of the above are closeted. It's just a vibe.
If someone has a "vibe" on a guy. Fair enough, I can't argue against that lol. But to your first point. I have to challenge.

Leo is well Known for his multiple flings with very young women, Jake is unmarried but he has been linked to some model girlfriend for years no? And Tom Cruise is now divorced but he's had 3 marriages to women.
